Description | Studies suggest that GSK-3 is a multifunctional serine/threonine kinase involved in estrogen and androgen receptor stability by phosphorylation. GSK-3 can bind to androgen receptors forming complexes in the cytoplasm and nucleus, so inhibition by GSK-3 Inhibitor XIII, will result in a rapid nuclear export of endogenous androgen receptors thus reducing receptors for the enzyme to bind to.
Pathways | Wnt/Stem Cell PI3K/Akt/mTOR
Targets | GSK3 |
