Description	Compound E is a cell-permeable inhibitor of γ-secretase (GSI), which is a multifunctional transmembrane protein complex enzymatically catalyzing the cleavage of single-pass transmembrane proteins. Compound E can inhibit Notch processing (IC50 = 2.2 nM in SupT1 cells) and β-ammyloid production in cell culture (IC50 = 0.3 nM).
